  5. Project Testing and Compliance – Developers test their applications to ensure compatibility, performance, and a smooth user experience.
  6. Project Submission – Developers submit their applications projects through the Ovomind web platform.
  7. Ovomind Approval – The Ovomind team reviews and approves project compliance with Terms, and categorizes the project as per the Ovomind Categorization – see “Submission Project Categorization”.
  8. Publish & Go Live – Once approved, the project is published on Ovomind platform and website with the unreleased status, once the game will be released publicly the developer will have to provide shop link and rawg.io link.
  9. Ongoing Optimisation – Partners can release updates to improve their applications, fix bugs, or add new features.

Ovomind DK1: Submission / Project Categorization

Once you receive your Ovomind DK1 device, you’ll need to submit your project for review. Ovomind will categorize your work into one of the following categories :

1. Category 1 : Emotion-Driven Gaming

Definition of Gaming :

Gaming refers to interactive digital entertainment designed for the primary purpose of providing fun, challenge, and engagement. Games can include single-player or multiplayer formats, competitive esports, narrative-driven experiences, and simulations. These games are built for PCs, consoles, or mobile platforms.

Criteria for Submission :
  • Game must integrate real-time emotional feedback from the Ovomind DK1.
  • Gameplay should adapt based on players’ emotions (e.g. stress, excitement).
  • Must include a functioning adaptive gameplay feature.
Certification :
  • Seal : Emotion-Driven Certified (EDC) – This certification confirms that the project successfully uses real-time emotional feedback from the Ovomind DK1 to enhance immersion and gameplay, and analytics features are available.
Submission Categories :
  1. EDC – Full Experiences (Released/Unreleased) :
Fully developed games that feature comprehensive integration of emotional feedback, dynamically adjusting gameplay based on player emotions. These submissions offer complete, polished experiences.
  2. EDC – Demos (Released/Unreleased) :
Shorter game versions or demos that highlight how emotional feedback impacts gameplay. These entries include limited but functional integration of emotional dynamics, providing a glimpse of the full potential.
  3. EDC – Prototypes/Sandbox (Released/Unreleased) :
Early-stage game prototypes designed to showcase the foundational integration of emotional feedback. These submissions are experimental, with basic mechanics that explore the possibilities of emotion-driven gameplay.

2. Category : Emotion Analytics Gaming

Definition of Gaming :

This category focuses on games that incorporate emotional analytics, providing players with insights into their emotional responses throughout gameplay. These games collect and display real-time emotional data without altering or interacting with gameplay dynamics.

Criteria for Submission :
  • Integration with Ovomind DK1 : The game must include real-time emotional data collection from the Ovomind DK1, focusing solely on analyzing and presenting insights rather than influencing gameplay.
  • Custom Heatmaps : Emotional heatmaps tracking player responses during specific in-game events or sequences must be implemented, offering visual representations of emotional states.
  • Emotional Analytics Menu : A dedicated “Emotional Analytics” menu tab must be integrated within the game, allowing players to access and review their emotional data, including heatmaps and emotional sequences, post-gameplay. A minimum of 10 public events and sequences need to be implemented.
Certification :
  • Seal : Emotion Analytics Certified (EAC) – This seal confirms that the project successfully integrates the Ovomind DK1’s emotional data collection and analysis features, providing valuable emotional insights without affecting the gameplay itself.
Submission Categories :
